Music Censorship
# of Words 410

Music Censorship in the rap communitty has started growing. Artists are being told more and more what they can and can't say. With hip-hop becoming the next pop music and rap growing more and more popular the goverment is starting to put restrictions on what is supposed to be a free right.

The rap industry is constantly being censored for it's lyrics that are not meant for faint and immature minds to hear. The F.C.C. and even the companies that give rappers record deals try to censor the artists that  talk about sensitive issues in their songs any way they feel like it.  Committees like the F.C.C. and other Suburban associations want to control everything they and their children are capble of being exposed to.
The music industry and the foundation of America was built on the freedom to speak your mind. But when the people that are in control of this country and some mom that lives away from the city in the suburbs disagree with what your saying they try to make it illegal for you to say. They blame the people  on t.v. for the violence in society and their childrens bad behavior. I guess somewhere along the line parents forgot that they were the ones supposed to raise their children not the television. If you don't agree with the opinions of someone walk away from them or turn the channel. After all politicans and national heroes are supposed to be role models not some dude that gets his fifteen minutes of fame. When someone from the inner city talks about the truth about what goes on around him and what he sees most people get afraid or offended. Most of the people that are at the top of the food chain want to ignore what goes on in the ghettos until their child starts imitating it then it becomes personal and a problem.
The poster child of censorship in the rap industry is definetly Eminem. Most have a problem with this because he's Anglo, but they never voice that part of their opinions. You can't outlaw certain statements when someone speaks their mind whether or not you agree with it. I don't ever see the F.C.C. telling the K.K.K. that they can't ever speak their mind in public. There are a lot more offensive artists out in the world then those that perform in the rap genre. Although I have nothing against Ozzy Osbourne he calls himself the anti-christ, yet not only do his songs not get censored but the president, who's supposed to be a good christian, let him in the white house and said a nice hello to Ozzy at a party while he was stuttering through another speech.

The rap industry is constantly being censored for it's lyrics that are not meant for the faint and immature minds of little kids. The F.C.C. and even the companies that give rappers record deals try to censor the artists that  talk about sensitive issues in their songs any way they feel like it.  Committees like the F.C.C. and other Suburban associations want to control everything they and their children are capble of being exposed to.

Most of the people in these types of organizations argue that the rap communitty's behavior promotes violence. They blame the people on t.v. for the violence in society and their childrens bad behavior. If parents don't want their child to see certain things then don't let them see it, it's called parenting. If you don't agree with or want to hear the opinions of a musician walk away from them or turn the channel. I guess somewhere along the line parents forgot that they were the ones supposed to raise their children not the television. They don't want to or don't know how to fix what their ancestors messed up, so they just ignore it until it gets out of hand.

The rap industry is constantly being censored for it's vulgar and obscene lyrics that are not meant for the faint and immature minds of most of the public. The F.C.C. and even the companies that give rappers record deals try to censor artists that talk about issues that the public is sensitive about.  Committees like the F.C.C. and other Suburban associations want to control everything they and their children are capable of being exposed to.

The music industry and the foundation of America was built on the freedom to speak your mind. This right is guaranteed in the constitution of America, but when the people that are in control of this country and some mom that lives away from the city in the suburbs disagree with what your saying they try to make it illegal for artists to say or they attack their sponsors. Most of the people in these types of organizations argue that the rap community’s behavior promotes violence. They blame these artists for the violence in society and their children’s bad behavior.

If parents don't want their child to see certain things then don't let them see it, it's called parenting. If you don't agree with or want to hear the opinions of a musician walk away from them or turn the channel. I guess somewhere along the line parents forgot that they were the ones supposed to raise their children not the television. After all politicians and national heroes are supposed to be role models for kids not some dude that gets his fifteen minutes of fame.

When someone from the inner city talks about the truth about what goes on around him and what he sees most people get afraid or offended. Most of the people that are at the top of the food chain want to ignore what goes on in the ghettos until their child starts imitating it, then it becomes personal and a problem. They don't want to or don't know how to fix what their ancestors messed up, so they just ignore it until it gets out of hand. They don't care that there are liquor and gun stores around every corner in a lot of ghettos, but they care that they're child puts on a bandana or a du-rag.

The poster child of censorship in the rap industry is definitely Eminem. Most have a problem with this because he's Anglo, but they never voice that part of their opinions. You can't outlaw certain statements when someone speaks their mind whether or not you agree with it. I don't ever see the F.C.C. telling the K.K.K. that they can't ever speak their mind in public.
